Is the daily dose exceeded in addition to normal nutrition?
It may happen that nutrient-rich foods such as fruit, vegetables, grains, or meat exceed the daily amounts of individual nutrients recommended by the German Nutrition Society (DGE). As a rule, this is not problematic, since the DGE recommendations represent minimum values to avoid under-supply. For optimal supply, actual needs may be somewhat higher and depend on individual factors such as health and life situation. Especially during times when the immune system is challenged, attention should be paid to a balanced intake of nutrients.
